I love this song since I first heard it in the anime Evangelion. It was hard to choose which version I like the most, but Smokey Robinson's high-tenor voice put a special magic on this song.

So sweet the song borderlines being cheesy, but I still love the simple melodies that stick with you.
“Where Do I Begin” by Andy Williams (Love Story)

A song with special meaning for me, and it also has one of the coolest basslines.
“I Say A Little Prayer” by Aretha Franklin
Aretha Franklin's soulful version of this song is fabulous, upbeat and filled with joy--just like love.
“I Just Called To Say I Love You” by Stevie Wonder
"Just The Two Of Us" by Grover Washington, Jr. and Bill Withers
The first song by Grover Washington, Jr. that I fell in love with, and am still in love with today.
“Lovin’ You” by Minnie Riperton
No matter how many times have been covered by many great artists, nothing beats the original. Minnie Riperton's high voice combined with her whistle register couldn't express this lovely song any more beautifully.

"Just The Way You Are" by Billy Joel
I like this version performed live by the older Billy Joel even more than the original. The slightly deeper voice combined with more emotions make this song even more special.

"Have I Told You Lately" by Rod Stewart
Rod Stewart's sexy raspy voice makes you want to run to your wife to tell her you love her.
"Nothing's Gonna Change My Love For You" by George Benson
One of the first English-language love songs I knew from the cassette tape my sister recorded for me back in fourth grade filled with pop songs. I loved this song then, and still love it now.
"Endless Love" by Luther Vandross & Mariah Carey
My favorite version of this beautiful love ballad. Just the openings from both artists would melt any soul.

"When You Say Nothing At All" by Alison Kraus & Union Station
Probably most popular with the version by Ronan Keating, yet this version with the pristine and angelic voice of Alison Kraus is my favorite.
"Valentine" by Jim Brickman ft. Olivia Newton-John
My most favorite from this list, and I have saved the best for last. Just amazingly beautiful, especially this live version with Olivia Newton-John.
